The March of the Genderists
The striking similarities between the characteristics of fascism and the tactics of those who forcefully promote queer theory.
A while back, I looked at Britt's ‘14 characteristics of fascism’ with a (trans)critical gaze and it proved very interesting indeed. Every now and again, I feel it's helpful to remind ourselves of what is going on, lest we become desensitised to it and forget how serious things are.
Time and time again, the tactics of those who purport to be 'trans-inclusive' are laden with aggression and forcefulness. Phrases which rear their ugly heads repeatedly, include delights such as,
“Shut the fuck up TERF!”, “Fuck off TERF” and “Eat shit, bigot”.
There are of course, many more to choose from but it's not just about the abusive and aggressive language. There appears to be a general format with various facets; all designed to scare, intimidate and make people fearful. So, here are just some of those 14, noted characteristics. Each one will will be cross-referenced with a brief comment on the matching behaviour of pro-trans allies.
Powerful and Continuing Nationalism:
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
Trans folk and their supporters' love flags and symbols. It seems they have a flag for pretty much every gender you can imagine. They also love to fly them everywhere, at Pride parades, on buildings and other important structures. Whenever there's a particular day (of which there are many) or month, you will often see now, a variety of (gender identity) flags flying on Town Hall buildings.
Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights:
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
There has been a lot of disdain shown for the human rights of women. In some cases, women are mocked and laughed at for trying to assert their single-sex based rights. Also, certain people who have allied themselves with trans lobbyists are happy to ignore violence against women. Social media is littered with examples of activists fantasising about what they would do to 'TERFs' and much of it involves the most degrading sexual violence.
Here are a couple of recent examples of violent rhetoric aimed at one particular woman, who I'm sure, wouldn't even describe herself as 'gender critical', but nevertheless has been on the receiving end of abuse because she stepped out of line.
Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause:
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.
The 'enemies' or 'scapegoats' in this situation, happen to be 'women' or as they would say, 'TERFs' - and before anyone tries to argue, (*insert whiney voice) "men can be TERFs too", men are only labelled, 'TERF' when they stand up for women.
Women ARE the ultimate target.
Rampant Sexism:
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.
"Rampant sexism"... "gender roles are made more rigid". How better to do this than centre yourself on the socially constructed fallacy that is pink/girl, boy/blue! Just one look at the training materials Mermaids use to demonstrate the gender spectrum makes this very clear.
Adding to this last point...
It's easy to see the deep homophobic messages coming through the movement via figures such as Mckinnon et al and how sexual boundaries are being broken down by incel-like males, intent on gaining access to lesbians by shaming them for genital preferences.
Controlled Mass Media:
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
Twitter and Facebook et al, are very much in the pockets of trans activists and lobbyists. The way in which women are swiftly dealt with and booted from platforms for sharing critical opinions while TRAs make rape and death threats with impunity is a clear demonstration of such control.
Obsession with National Security:
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
Fear is the key thing here. "I'd rather have a trans daughter tham a dead son" goes the trope. Nothing says psychological abuse more than using the threat of suicide to scare people into accepting demands.
Corporate Power is Protected:
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
I would recommend people read up on Jennifer Bilek's excellent work on exposing the BIG money involved in the advancement of the trans movement. Here is her seminal work on such issues. She has produced much more since and is a fantastic resource with regards to information about the transgender industry.
Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts:
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.
It's been well recognised that universities and academia are a hotbed of trans ideology. Sadly, where critical thinking once flourished, it now seems a dying thing and if any academics speak critically about trans ideas - they get doxxed, attacked & potentially lose their jobs. We only have to look at what happened to Selina Todd and more recently, Kathleen Stock, to name just two, as clear examples of this tactic in practice.
Obsession with Crime and Punishment:
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
Having women arrested and pursued by the police for the 'thoughtcrime' of misgendering is one such example. Examples which spring to mind are Kate Scottow, Marion Millar and more recently, Ceri Black who, curiously, are all mothers to autistic children.
Also, legislating to have children removed from families and parents even fined or jailed for disagreeing with treatments is another indicator of such tactics as has been happening more and more.
I'm sure more could be said along with a large portfolio of examples, but that's for another time. I needed to get this out there, because I do find it striking, just how powerfully and aggressively, this movement is behaving.
Women are losing jobs, livelihoods, being threatened and abused, online and in public. Their families are being doxxed and targetted, their children are being dragged into the situation. This is not a movement built on respect, but on male-centric violence and rights that ultimately, benefit…men.
We are often labelled 'fascists’ which always ses to me to be a surreal form of DARVO and last week, when I attended the LGB Alliance conference, the gaggle of protesters who arrived with their abusive banners and foul mouthed chants, could at one point, be heard shouting:
“Oswald Mosley would be proud”…
…which is very odd, because I'd never marked Mosley down as being a big supporter of lesbian, gay and bisexual rights like the LGB Alliance are. Nevertheless, the youngsters who chanted it, clearly have a very skewed and topsy turvy idea of what fascism looks like and it's not anywhere near what they think it is.
However, as for the aggression, the violent rhetoric, the culture of intimidation and fear, all of which permeates the general push for trans rights….well, that is what fascism looks like and it's coming at you under the banner of gender inclusivity.
